Director of MAC/Bollitieri Tennis Academy
I have been in the high performance side of tennis for over 20 years, and I have not met many individuals with as much passion and expertise for the game and business as Sandy has. At the end of the day, success in our industry is going to come to those who eat, drink and breathe the game, and Sandy is a vivid example of this. If you are a player or parents of a player with the highest ambitions and are looking for someone to manage your child’s career on and off the court, I highly recommend working with MLJ Group.
I met Sandy for the first time in 2008 when I was visiting the US and exploring college tennis scholarship opportunities. Sandy coached me at the MAC Bollettieri and came along to some of my college visits. Sandy is a hugely motivational and knowledgeable coach. He is very quick to recognize your strengths and weaknesses and derive an analysis of what it takes for you to get to the next level. I ended up playing four years of college tennis at Tulane University after which I completed a master's degree at London School of Economics. Nowadays I am working as an internal auditor at Deloitte Finland.
I met Sandy for the first time when I was visiting the US to practice at the MAC Bollettieri Tennis Academy in the summer of 2007. I remember the summer at the MAC under Sandy's tutelage as a considerable leap in my development as a tennis player and an athlete and as a start of a long-lasting friendship with a great person. As a coach, Sandy has an outstanding ability to sense not only the technical and physical, but also the psychological capacities of a player and determine how to best capitalize on those attributes. This combined with an exceptional knack for inspiring and pushing players to new heights makes Sandy more than just a coach -- he is a mentor and a tennis guru. After founding Sports Lion, a sports gaming and media company, we started collaborating with Sandy on content creation for our platform. Thanks to his deep knowledge and insights Sandy's tennis podcasts quickly created an enthusiastic following in the Sports Lion community. I strongly believe that Sandy's vision, expertise and character make him an invaluable asset to any business partner, organization or mentee he works with.
